We offer an inclusive environment, where you can be you.  This Coordinator role will be responsible for managing Panera’s donation programs for all company-owned Panera bakery-cafes (1k+).  This is a temporary position with possible transition to a permanent role based on performance.

This role is responsible for managing Panera’s donation programs, including the Day-End Dough-Nation® program and Panera Gives® program.  Through the Day-End Dough-Nation program, Panera donates our unsold bread and bakery products at the end of each night to organizations fighting hunger in our communities. Through the Panera Gives program, Panera supports events held by non-profit organizations serving those in need by donating a certificate or fresh bakery products.

Accountabilities:

Day-End Dough-Nation Program (80%)

  • Evaluate, process and respond to all applications, inquiries, emails, voicemails
  • Schedule new donation partners, cancel donation partners, and maintain accurate records for all donation partnerships
  • Coordinate and research organizations for opening, closing, relocating, and remodeling cafes
  • Confirm tax contribution for each donation partner
  • Mediate and solve issues between cafe staff and partner organizations
  • Serve as a liaison for relationships with external vendors, franchisees, cafe-partner and interdepartmental relationships
  • Maintain and update program materials, websites, training materials
  • Improve program accuracy and reduce overall program management time
  • Develop and expand program for hard-to-fill markets and grab and go products

Panera Gives(20%)

  • Evaluate, process and respond to all applications, inquiries and emails
  • Manage product donation budget

CSR

  • Assist with other philanthropic and sustainability initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

  • Passion for fighting hunger and helping people in need within our local communities
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree
  • Customer service experience is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Exceptionally detail oriented and organized
  • Strong work ethic and attitude to get things done
  • Proficient in Internet research
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow directions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Love the Panera brand
