Panera Bread is actively seeking a Marketing Coordinator for our Growth Initiatives marketing team.

The Growth Initiatives Marketing Coordinator will support the Growth Initiatives Marketing Team in planning, execution and analysis of results of its various initiatives and campaigns to help drive awareness, trial, and retention for channel and daypart initiatives including Delivery , Rapid Pick-Up (RPU), Catering and new growth initiatives as they emerge. Detailed planning, tracking, and reporting of a wide variety of marketing initiatives provides exposure and experience across multiple marketing disciplines. Significant cross-functional communication and coordination is involved, requiring strong communication skills and follow-up integrity.

We're looking for someone who has strong attention to detail, strong proofing and verbal/written communication skills, is adept at multi-tasking, has strong excel/reporting experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, is flexible, enjoys a team environment and comes to every challenge with a positive attitude. General experience across a variety of marketing disciplines is preferred, however a bias to experience in project management and/or retail marketing is a plus. A strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.


Support the Growth Initiative team with development of marketing campaigns & activations, primarily RPU/Delivery Blitz Contests, Delivery Driver Canvassing Programs, and Daypart Growth Campaigns. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Communication calendar management
  • Creative brief development and input
  • Marketing material proofing
  • Marketing material production logistics with Print Logistics team
  • Field communication
  • Contest management
  • Marketing Rollout Guides development
  • Result reporting including data/results retrieval from various tools

Support Catering marketing initiative such as Campaigns, Contests, Field Team support, and Sales Team support. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Creative brief development and input
  • Marketing material proofing and logistics with Print Logistics team

Manage LTO (Limited Time Offer) Code Setup and Maintenance for Catering and Delivery

  • Using LTO tool, setup all needed codes accurately and for approved by manager
  • Report on results, pull data as needed

Maintain POP (Point of Purchase materials) program for Channel initiatives. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Maintain tracking spreadsheets and processes to facilitate distribution of materials to bakery-cafes for growth initiative projects.
  • Interact with POP vendor (and internal Print Logistics teams) and maintain related reports/schedules
  • Communicate with bakery-cafes and Field Management
  • Act as Go To person for Bakery-Cafe managers to reach out if they have questions or issues concerning POP

Coordinate College Outreach Program

  • Identify participating colleges that align with Delivery programs by researching potential candidates for this program by use of online ordering program and web site(s)
  • Make cold calls to colleges/universities to solicit their participation in a program that students can benefit from
  • Review creative, proof, provide suggestions/improvements
  • Coordinate logistics with Print Logistics team for on time delivery

Support Delivery Rollouts as needed

  • Manage Marketing Delivery Calendar
  • Communicate cross-functionally to ensure on-time marketing support
  • Coordinate distribution of launch materials such as but not limited to:

    Roll-out guides & additional tools for launch

    Flyers, POP and email deployments

  • Researching local community events in Delivery markets
  • Conduct surveys post launch to gather learnings

Budget and forecasting support support larger Growth Initiatives team with monthly expense tracking, coding and reporting Assist with competitive research - researching and providing clear readouts as needed Collect data and prepare data sheets for Insights Team as needed


  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of marketing experience; fast casual restaurant or retail marketing experience a plus
  • Experience analyzing results of marketing tactics
  • Experience in data retrieval and compilation for reporting purposes a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel (including V-Lookups), Power Point
  • Proactive, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, reliable and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and manage/reprioritize multiple projects
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and analytic skills
  • Excellent team player who can take work direction from multiple individuals, learns quickly and is adaptable
  • Good-natured, positive, energetic yet professional attitude, a must!
