Our Business Development Rep (BDR) role is an exciting opportunity to help drive additional business for Paneras Catering Sales division and be a founder of a new organization at Panera! This position is based in Needham, MA, and responsible for driving net new client and account acquisition through inbound and outbound channels, both via phone and digital channels. This role is an entry-point to launching a career in sales with Panera

Catering.Essential Functions of the Job and Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve required # of dials and conversations per day, # of emails per day, # of new clients acquired, and $ value of new clients acquired
  • High volume of outbound calling to leads and prospects and timely handling of inbound inquiries from the website and phone
  • Work in a virtual team environment with a regional Area Catering Sales Manager team, with a focus on driving new client acquisition and hand-off to Catering Sales Managers
  • Team with Catering Sales Managers to target new accounts and grow sales from new clients
  • Prioritize a call list of high-potential prospects by analyzing reports within Salesforce.com and other provided resources
  • Encourage online ordering and loyalty program sign-ups
  • Gather and track information about leads and clients in our CRM
  • Develop mastery of Panera Caterings offer and how we operate as a selling organization, ultimately to become a quota-carrying sales rep

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Recent graduate or 1-2 years call center-like experience
  • High-energy individual with a passion for sales and marketing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sense of urgency, attention to detail with strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, early-stage environment that requires willingness to learn and apply new concepts and strategies quickly, adapting to change
  • Requires ability to effectively prioritize and multitask
  • Self-motivated, driven, and competitive
  • Strong relationship building skills, with clients and sales team, via remote channels
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce.com) and other prospecting tools (LinkedIn, etc.) a plus
